# Tournament rewards example

## Example

Constructed tournament, 6 players, entry fee v$6, 5 rounds

Reward for playing: 5 × v$4 = v$20

Prize pool: 30 × v$4 + 6 × v$6 = v$120 + v$36 = v$156

Place weights:

- 1st: weight 1/1 = 1
- 2nd: weight 1/2 = 0.5
- 3rd: weight 1/3 = 0.33333333
- 4th: weight 1/4 = 0.25
- 5th: weight 1/5 = 0.2
- 6th: weight 1/6 = 0.16666667

Sum of all place weights: 1 + 0.5 + 0.33333333 + 0.25 + 0.2 + 0.16666667 = 2.45

Prize pool rewards:

- 1st: v$156 × 1 / 2.45 = v$64
- 2nd: v$156 × 0.5 / 2.45 = v$32
- 3rd: v$156 × 0.33333333 / 2.45 = v$21
- 4th: v$156 × 0.25 / 2.45 = v$16
- 5th: v$156 × 0.2 / 2.45 = v$13
- 6th: v$156 × 0.16666667 / 2.45 = v$11

Final rewards:

- 1st: v$84 and 4 copies of a promo card
- 2nd: v$52 and 3 copies of a promo card
- 3rd: v$41 and 2 copies of a promo card
- 4th: v$36 and 1 copy of a promo card
- 5th: v$33
- 6th: v$31
